Its been a long time since I’ve blogged!
A moment ago I had the HUGE brainwave that i should start blogging my thoughts on the world again as some of them can be as complex as the brain itself (get me going about philosophy and you’ll be dead of old age by the time I finish), just before starting to write this i had huge thoughts swirling around my head about all sorts of things big and small racing around my head, now where are they, I’m just blabbering now!…

…I can however remember starting this post this post thinking about writing about my vegetarianism and how that make me subjective and also talking a lot talking about other people (those “Horrible” meat eaters) and their subjectivity to the meat industry, even tho most of them are very pleasant people (just thought I’d use pleasant there instead of nice because I’m lovely like that and what does nice mean anyway, it used to be an insult ya know!)
Completely losing my train of thought while I watch Charlie (Mums Dog) beg for some biscuits of my mum, it has me thinking about our place in the world, because Charlie who’s somewhat old for a dog 12/13 years old so he’s quite a relic in doggy society, where was I, Erm it has me thinking well about dog society now anyway, I’ve complete forgot where the rest of the paragraph was heading (better get back on track before i forget again) My thoughts at the moment are of society and how we humans (I’m only presuming your human if your reading this, you might not be) seem to think that we are the only animals with a society, or a developed one at least or maybe “people” (I’ll explain the “” in a minute) don’t even think like that, and I’m just presuming the worst in people because I believe we’re a bloodthirsty pack of things that are a stones throw away from hitting each other over the head with clubs (I refer to our now more present than ever suing that we’ve adopted from America) Can’t legally beat someone so we take it out on their wallets instead!
Anyway many animal have societies that function well sometimes even better than our own, its even been proven that many animal such as many other sorts of apes and rodents have culture and a massive about of animals have the same sense of empathy that we have (Paul Bloom makes a excellent case support this). Take our closest primate relative the chimpanzee (at least i hope they are i could be wrong) scientist have conducted social experiments with them where they have taught two groups of chimps each with no interaction with the other group, each group was taught a different way to crack open a nut/seed, this they taught to their offspring therefor almost becoming a tradition, although some chimps groups have found that they sometimes abandon what they’ve been taught and use a method that they deem to be more effective, (who can say they haven’t done that) this support a case I’ve not mentioned called social evolution (I like big words)

Anyway that’s almost enough for today! but a few last words to think about?!

I did once go to Monkey World near Weymouth in Dorset, while i was watching the Orangutangs, one of them went into the den and the other two that were outside followed him/her inside, I overheard some man next to me say “haha look they’re like sheep, mindlessly following each other like that” I turned around and watched him and his family walk away for a while, as I was watching I couldn’t help but to notice him and his family not only staying in their little group like the Orangutangs but like most of the people there they were following the arrows painted on the ground, I couldn’t help but think that maybe the Orangutangs are thinking “look at all them stupid humans following each other round like that”

I have had this subject on my mind for a while, I think it’s about time I write it down somewhere…!!! =)

One thing that annoys me is that when people ask why i’m veggie, normally I really can’t be bothered to go though all of the reasons, so I compromise with, “animal rights” which isn’t entirely false, =) The main reason I like to think I’m veggie is almost like a one man rebellion against a hypocritical society that I don’t approve of. The subject of the believe is killing, now when I say killing I don’t mean just animal I mean people too, Even with all the laws, moral standards and ideals around us that say killing is wrong, it only appears wrong when the mob says it is. We kill lots of animals and validate it with lots of different excuses, for example “they are just animals”, “they’re there for us to eat” but the sad truth is that we are a violent animal ourselves and to us killing is just killing, whether it is an animal or thousands of people in a foreign country subconsciously we see and know no difference, =( I think this is pathetic to be honest, as the species that we are, we should be know better than the unnecessary slaughter of animals, an argument to this point would be that we need to eat meat, this is bullshit, the shear quantity of meat in the industry that is wasted is unreal, nowadays it is just a convenience and the animals are shown little or no respect, which if they are so important we should worship them like gods, but sadly we don’t, =(

Mmmmm well well well…Writing thoughts i think…”should use my brain more, that way I’d have more to write about.”

Pretty much failing with this Radio interview thing,
My first idea (hehe, a deer with eyes) was decent and i think it definately would appeal to the target demographic but in terms of do-ability it seems like a no go, i don’t wanna do Vox-Pops either.
I have second idea, it will require me to volunteer for the Cornwall film festival, this i can do but the issue is that the main event is over a week away,
My plan is to go volunteer, while there i’ll mingle a little and see who seems like a good person to interview and then nab them, shove them in a corner and interview them on the event, i was also thinking this would be intergrated into a larger artical which focuses on the entire film festival as a whole…!!! =)

Sounds good to me…!!!
